Frequently Asked Questions

What does your Pistol Class consist of?
Our class teaches you the beginner skills to handle, know, and understand your pistol. If you are curious about getting a License to Carry anywhere or would just like to have a pistol for personal or home defense, this class helps you figure out what suits your best needs and gains the skills to use it when you need it.

What do you teach for your Rifle class?
Beginner marksmanship, use of the rifle of your choosing, and how to shoot it.
Although we specialize in all platforms, we have extensive knowledge of bolt and lever action rifles too. With very little use of a rifle, we are proud to say that you will be hitting targets consistently AND accurately between 50 and 100 yards.

What is a LTC?
Formerly called a CHL until January 2017, this is a 2 part class. Part one, we cover the Laws, Regulations, and Use of Force on a power point presentation that may seem boring but we will get through it and pass your state of Texas exam. This is a 25 multiple choice question test. The second part is the fun shooting portion. 50 rounds at a state regulated static B27 target at 3, 7, and 15 yards. If you get all your hits in the X ring at 3 and 7 yards, you will pass. This course is based on a state mandated point system. While you can pass with that score, we prefer that our students are properly trained and have marksmanship skills to hit within the 8 ring and pass higher than a 240.
